About the KVA Trelleborg project
KVA Trelleborg is one of Sweden's largest correctional facilities, with a building area of 110,000 square meters, which NCC is building in collaboration with Special Properties for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. The project is carried out by a fully integrated organization between NCC and Special Properties, collaborating fully! The preliminary construction start is in the spring of 2026, and the construction period will take 4 to 6 years.

The role of project buyer
As a project buyer, you will drive the project's purchasing issues through tenders, design, and production, which means you are responsible for inquiries, tender evaluations, negotiations, contract signing, and follow-ups. Your purchases and business ethics have a significant impact on the project's results, so your work is of great importance to both NCC and our clients.

In close collaboration with the project team, you will drive the purchasing issues within the project from start to finish and be responsible for making purchases of everything from consultants, contracts to pure material purchases. In the early stages, you will be responsible for establishing the project's purchasing strategy to ultimately conducting supplier evaluations at the end. 

You report to the Purchasing Manager. In addition to your colleagues in the purchasing group, there is also a large internal network of experts in areas such as law, environment, and energy. NCC also has one of the industry's best-developed purchasing systems in the form of our purchasing portal, which is a fantastic tool in the buyer's everyday work.

Your profile as a project buyer
We see that you currently work as a buyer in the construction industry or are an experienced site manager, project manager, bid, contract, or project engineer. You have knowledge of construction legislation and an understanding of contracts and legal documents. We prefer that you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in construction technology or economics, or other relevant post-secondary education.

You work in a structured, process-oriented manner and are a strong relationship builder with a good understanding of both internal and external stakeholders. Taking initiative and persistently driving your tasks towards set goals is natural for you. In your previous assignments, you have driven similar projects in production and understand the value chain from the bidding phase, production, and finally handover to the client. 

You are business-minded and experienced in negotiations that you have conducted with clear results. You have a good understanding of suppliers and the ability to establish mutual agreements. Engagement, flexibility, and problem-solving ability lead you to conduct good business.

The majority of your work will be carried out in consultation with the project team while the role requires you to work independently to a large extent.

You communicate excellently in both spoken and written Swedish as well as English.

The Building Large Projects division develops and leads complex construction projects with an order value of approximately 1.5 billion or more.

Additional information
The position is full-time, permanent in the KVA Trelleborg project within the Building Large Projects Division, which specializes in large and complex construction projects in Sweden. The place of employment is KVA Trelleborg.
